Programming Tier List
This is a quick ranking of some programming languages I have worked with. Its not brilliant, but it is just my personal experience learning it. There are some languages, where I feel that there whole creation is for pedantics or a literal goat. Depends.
1. C lang
Running the world
One of the most important language in the world.
If we didn't have C, then we wouldn't have:
Windows, MacOS, Linux, BSD, Netflix, Most
internet, Android, Ios, etc...
Yeah... You
can see why this is quintessential
Brilliant 10/10
2. Python
Baby Steps, baby steps
This may get me some glares. Some people believe that you should start with C, or C++, but I think this is a pretty important one for the future years. If no one learns programming out of the difficulty (or javascripty-ish bulls**t) then there would be much less programmers and cybersecurity and other subsideries. But, it pretty slow sooo...
Damn good 9/10
3. C++
Enhance. Enhance. Zoom in 50. Enhance 26.392%
I hear the people screaming at me. Putting it simply, its just because it isn't as important as C, but I do believe it is pretty important. I hear the mob also yelling about how python could be higher. Look. C++ is my personal favourite language but python is aiding our future not just what we've already done.
Controversial 9/10
4. Kotlin
Oracle's fav
Look, putting simply, it's just java, but better. I have not personally used it, but from a quick glance, it appears much nicer to work with. And android apps, perfection for that so...
Cleaned up 8/10
5. Java
Oracle's fav
Java. Java. Java. The beast that would fix it all. While I can respect the hustle, but, it's sort of dying off now in exceptions to existing software. It's not very important to computer fuction (Linux doesn't need java). Thus, this can't have a massive ranking as it is giving a vibe of early onset rigor mortis
A killer 7/10
6. Javascript
Reject ===, return to ==
Javascript vs. Java is like Miss vs. Missile. It runs the internet that 90+% of people use. However, what truly drives me MAD is the brilliance of the === in comparison to ==. All of the pedantics are unnessecary, but its too late now...
A pedantic 10/6 6/10
7. Rust
Type safety... Borrowing... Not fun...
My rust is rusty Sorry, will refrain. from those horrendous
jokes. Now, to clarify, I have a disposition against rust, as whenever
I try and use it, my brain is deep fried when I try and do anything.
Furthering that, C++ just feels good to use. I can't give
Rust a high ranking as the learning curve is, in my opinion, steeper than C++,
f**k it, C. But, it runs smoother than butter, even sometimes faster than C++
while having safety measures. Very respectable. (Also new, so not as much
dependence for most people)
A safe 5/10
8. Lua
Hooked into each and every program
In the luap! I said I would stop. Sorry. Lua is pretty important, but
it isn't as popular as a individual language. I can't rank it higher than this. When
I say "individual" language, I define that as a language individually. Usually it is
seen incorporated into other programs as config. Thus, it is not really able to be ranked
very high
A unified 4/10
9. C#
"I wanna make a game!"
yeah it's just java but microsoft based. So perfect for windows and microsoft products but meh for the rest.
A microslop 3/10
10. PHP
Bane of existence
PHP. It just feels old. Outdated, maybe. Atleast C is respectable for is intergration into everything. PHP is giving a vibe of "Did not age well", and does not make the internet function, as severely. Thusforth, this is the lowest on the list. Easy peasy.
An ancient 1/10 (some sites still need it)
Summary
Do you disagree? I think thats fine (in exception to PHP). This is merely my opinion, so this is my ranking. To clarify, I did skip some (Go, Typescript, etc) because they are useful in certain ways but not others. I also don't have a big opinion on it so it was cut. Well, thats my blog for today, so have a good one.
